2020 Holiday Gift Guide for Kids, Parents, and Everyone on Your List
The most wonderful time of the year is right around the corner. (And we sure do need it after this crazy year we’ve had!) If you’re gearing up to start shopping for people on your holiday list, this 2020 holiday gift guide has tons of ideas for you. I’ve covered everything from babies to foodies to business owners to inspire your holiday shopping.

I also want to mention a book that I think is super cool if your kid is into LEGO®. It’s called LEGO® with Dad, and it’s filled with tons of LEGO® projects for you and the kids to complete together. My son loves LEGO®, but he loves it even more when I build with him! I appreciate this book’s encouragement to act like a kid again and enjoy building LEGO® creations together. Each chapter is a different category of projects, like Classic Creations and LEGO® in Motion, so your child can find whatever fits their mood that day. LEGO® with Dad is available in print, eBook, and a print and eBook bundle.
I also adore Meddy Teddy as a gift idea for kids. This too-cute plush is more than just a stuffed animal. Meddy Teddy is a yoga partner and instructor and a mindfulness master. Your child will learn how to do yoga and be more conscious of their actions as they have fun befriending this peaceful teddy bear. Meddy Teddy is completely poseable so he can get into all the same yoga poses your kiddo does. There’s also a bunch of clothing and accessories to dress Meddy Teddy in! And don’t forget to pick up the Meddy Teddy book that guides kids through a fun yoga journey.

FAQs
Here are all your questions for this holiday season answered. Be sure to let me know down in the comments if you have any other questions about gift-giving and finding the perfect gift!
What will be the top toys for Christmas 2020?
This will depend on your child, of course. But like every holiday season, there seem to be a few toys standing out in 2020. A few that are already trending include LOL Surprise dolls, playsets, and other gifts, Squeakee the Balloon Dog, and the Baby Yoda plush. The PS5 also releases in mid-November, so I expect there to be a huge grab for the PS5 system and games. For the younger crowd, try Osmo, a full set of interactive learning games for kids that you can use with a tablet. And kids of all ages can enjoy LEGO® (I’m still a big kid when it comes to LEGO®!).
What is a good gift for anyone on my list?
If you’re unable to think of the perfect gift for a few people left on your list, don’t stress over it too much. There are plenty of things most people enjoy that might be a safe bet for those last few recipients. Try fun things like puzzles, board games, or craft supplies. Or, go the more practical route with bedding, clothing, and small kitchen appliances. When all else fails, buy a gift card to a place you know they love. A restaurant gift card can be a good idea for a couple, while a Walmart or Amazon gift card might be better for a child or teen.
What is the 3 gift rule?
Money is tighter for many families this year, mine included. The 3 gift rule is a good one to use if you want to cut down on gifts this year to stay within your budget. This “rule” is based on the three gifts that Jesus received when he was born, but you don’t have to be religious to follow it. Usually, it entails giving each child one thing they need, one thing to read, and one thing they want. So, you might gift a new backpack for school to replace a worn-down one, the newest book in the series your child is reading, and some art supplies for their new interest in painting.
What are cheap gift ideas?
Handmade gifts are some of the best to give when you don’t have a lot of money to spare. Not only are they affordable, but they also can mean a lot more to your recipient. I also love searching Etsy for unique and affordable gifts. For example, you can get a custom tumbler for less than $9, a custom monogrammed fleece throw for about $15, and handmade superhero earrings for under $6!
